Solid rustic mahogany functional beauty
Quite well crafted rustic style, broken in and made to survive pretty much anything you can throw at it, spill on it or ding it with. It'll just gain more character basically. Photos are pretty accurate, but folks should know these pieces are heavily weathered and unique on purpose, you won't get the one pictured, you'll get one all your own. I'm tempted to add a top coat stain to bring out some luster...just leaving as is for now. This set has a sort of sea salt worn appeal, supporting the "Redondo Pier" namesake (although I've seen the same set listed under another name, this name fits best), it is reclaimed wood, but does not look like it spent any time as part of a pier so much, just made to look this way by way of a unique "relic finish" process. The headboard is very tall and solid mahogany, begging to have antique/industrial style lighting clamped or mounted on it, perhaps a pair of antique sconces or USB plate to modern it up for phone charging. Making this a blank canvass for some customization. King size mattress is a perfect fit with no annoying gap under pillows at headboard. Good quality hardware and drawer rails. Love the extra storage and the elevation is increased to a stately height. This is a big dramatic piece, yet functional. Just what I was looking for, very happy.
